Border Permit
A border permit is required to visit certain areas of the Kyrgyz Republic. Travel agency Pamir Travel offers entry and travel permits for climbers and tourists planning to climb Lenin and Khan Tengri peaks, or go hiking and trekking in the Pamir and Tien Shan mountains.

A border permit to border areas is required not only for foreign citizens but also for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic residing in other regions of the country. Processing takes up to 1 month and is handled through government agencies.
